Title: Hegner Day
Post by: Reaper on July 01, 2014, 11:53:24 pm
Wednesday I am going to Advanced Machinery to pick out my new Hegner and put my old one out to pasture. I bought it in 1998 after using a pin blade craftsman. We had many good years together, it was hard cleaning it up for the last time. Now on the bright side. I have another one to break in and hopefully use as long as my last one. Great saws.....

Why are you changing?  It is still young.  The same year I got mine and it still works like a charm.  Poor baby.  I have an idea.  Give it to you wife to learn how to scrollsaw and that will give you time together.  :) :) :)

I guess it was young in Hegner years, but the RPM's kept dropping. I tried to save it but a year ago I replaced the board and it started acting up again. Well at least I get another 7 year warranty on it and believe me the saw didn't owe me anything, plus I traded it in. If this one lasts me 16 years I'll be more than happy with that also.
