I made this for a friend who is retiring from the State Police. It is made out of Pine and a real, honest to goodness, State Police Door Emblem. (Not an easy thing to get a hold of, trust me.) The clock parts were expensive at $33 online, so if anyone has any information on cheaper suppliers, please relay to me. I used a different kind of 2 part Epoxy that I got from Lowes for $22, the similar product here in Canada sells for $53 at Rona's.....I know what I will be using from now on. The Epoxy coating was done in 2 separate pours, for about 3/8' thick coating. I wanted the face smooth without bumps from the numerals, and it worked out rather nicely. I added Panel Trim to the edges to make them look clean. This was the first clock I have made, I think it came out ok, but I will be making changes when making another clock.

I had to notify the State Police of Maine that I found their missing door emblem. Sorry!
But, on a high note, I really think you did an excellent job on the clock!

I make quite a few clocks. I have found klockit.com to be the best place. Simple movements are around $5 with a free pair of hands! Nice work! AJ
