Title: 20th Anniversary Gift and Story behind it.

Okay, June 4th was my 20th Anniversary. Here is how much my wife and I think alike. First of all we got each other a couch and loveseat as a gift. So I was thinking that was all the gift giving. Then she tells me she is making me something....and it is a secret. She had me stumped for a whole week.  So I decide to make her a heart shared box out of Maple. I get it dona and think what to put in it. Can't afford anything. So I decide on a bunch of notes telling of our memories for 20 years.

Gift is all wrapped up and we are at Black Angus for dinner. She gives me the gift she made. It is a glass jar with little cut out hearts that she decoupaged to the jar. Inside it are 20 years of memories all written out for me.

Troy that sounded like to me that you two are very compatible.   I like both of your solutions to the heart gift.  Are you sure one or perhaps both of you are not psychic?  Congratulations on 20 years of marriage.  Thanks for sharing this with us.

What a lovely little story Troy. Just proves you were made for each other. Two peas in a pod ;D ;D.
Congratulations to both of you on your 20th aniversary and may you have many more. My wife and I will be 45 years wed this year, so there's a target for you Troy. Nice pictures too. :D :D :D

Congratulations and a nice story.  This years my wife and I will have our 47th!  We would have to have BIG boxes to put all the memories in!

When I tell people my wife and I have been HAPPILY married for 25 years it makes my wife mad.

We've been married for 29! LOL

Some very nice comments. All you non newly weds give me a target to work towards. I am truly blessed with a beautiful and loving wife. And yes, we are very compatible. In fact if you asked her she'd tell you that yes we do finish each others ......sentences.

I had a lot of fun making the box. I have been wanting to make one for a long time, so this one turned out pretty good. The lid fits pretty snug.
