I have modified one of Steve's patterns and am looking for a US flag for a background. just wondering if anyone has one or knows where i can find one.

A search in any search engine such as google should give you lots of images to print out.
Here is an example of my quick search.

could add search items like B&W and Silhouette or Vector:
