Title: an amazing day

dropped in to a friend of a friends yard/sawmill today, he mostly cuts firewood, and came away with the most lovely car boot full of gorgeous wood, think it is mostly elm but also got some ash and some oak. The down side is that it is nearly all at least an inch thick, and will have to plane it down to a thickness I can work with, so much waste  :(
think I need to make a jewellery box to do this justice, does anyone have any nice plans they would be willing to share?
