A quick project, made a key chain for a neighbor.
he gave me a nice wooden briefcase so in return I made a key-chain with his name.
1/4" Beech plywood (bed slats) and a mixture of Tung and orange oil as finish.

Marcel, looks like you god a very nice case and your friend has a beautiful keychain. I make lots of these key chains, to cut down on the cutting I use the persons initials. It is more personal than a name, people love them.

I make them also frequently.
never did initials.
on all fairs and markets they sell name key chains, but only the most common ones.
And especially when they don't have a common name.
have had some special request for special names.
And like you said, they love hem.
I did buy me a box with 200 of that key rings on a flea market,
so I can make plenty of them. LOL
