Before I got interest in woodworking, I used to race motocross. I got my first dirtbike when I was 4 years old. I started racing when I was 5. I raced until around age 12, then I stopped. Over the time I race, I collected a lot of trophies and plaques. On the trophies, there are the tags where it told what place I got and the class I raced and the year. I took those tags off and put them all on a wood plaque I made in this video.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvl8EQ4e48c (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvl8EQ4e48c) I thought it was a good way to show off my success in racing and incorporate woodworking into it.

Thank you Marcel, like I said, I have two boxes full of other plaques as well. 7+ years of racing.

Good job Dustin!
I did a similar thing a few years ago. I used to race enduro Go Karts back in the 80's and had trophy's and plaques all over the house and shop.
My wife got tired of dusting them and they took up so much room that I decided to get rid of them. I took off the little plates and kept them and my wife took the trophy's and donated them to Special Olympics. She just about filled the Ford van with boxes of trophy's and plaques. The people at Special Olympics were so happy to get them and after she carried in the third box full, they all came out to the van and helped her tote the rest of the boxes inside. :D
They rebuild them and have new plates made at the trophy shop for awards at the Special Olympic events they have every year.

You did an awesome job Dustin, on the plaque and the video! Just an idea, instead of using those screws as finishing blocks, (I was nervous watching you rub the front of the plaque while on the screws) drill some 1/4" holes and use dowels to set the project on, much safer! Actually what I use are the little plastic stands that hold the lid up in a pizza box. They work great, and I have a good reason to order a few pizzas!

Nice idea for the plaque, Dustin, and well done with all the trophies. You gave up on bikes about the same age I started, I was 11 when I got my first bike. Still got one 52 years later. :)
