Title: Moose finished
Post by: Keefie on February 18, 2014, 09:57:44 am
I liked the moose that DW and danny made earlier, so I made my own one.  here are some pictures. It's made from Iroko with pine for the antlers. It was cut mainly with an FD UR #5 blade and an FD UR #1 blade for the ears & tail. It has been finished with 2 coats of celulose sanding sealer followed by 2 coats of spray lacquer.

Hope you like it.

Keith I love the wood contrast, you did a great job on it. Where can I find the pattern as I would love to make one for my son-in-law.

He is so super cute. Love him Love him Love him.  But whats this about you being an amateur woodturner.  You have given thing to royalty that makes you no amateur.

Just came across you post Keith....WOW! That Moose Looks GREAT.  Can't wait for warm weather to give mine some color.  Love the way you modified the antlers to hold business cards.  Now I have to make another one like yours.  LOL  Yep....  Danny  :+}
