We have had 4 days in a row of between 40 and 45 degree Celsius. That?s between 102 and 112 F roughly. We have set a record apparently. So I have hardly been out side since 10.30 Tuesday morning. Too darn hot to go into my metal garage to work that?s for sure. We have 21 fires in a 40 kilometre radius from me at the moment and 3 within a 3 klms of me. We have strong winds too that are not helping the firefighters. Hopefully the cool change that has been forecast will arrive early to help the firefighters; you have to feel for those guys in these conditions.

Hey Marg I feel for you guys across the ditch, we haven't had the heat but the winds are never ending.
I have a sister in law in Adelaide and been keeping in contact, she's safe from the fires not the heat.
Cheers for now and above all keep COOL 8) 8) 8)

Hi Marg, we had a friend on the phone from Sydney this morning. She's complaining that the air con is not making much of a difference to the temperature in the house. I don't know if any of the fires are near her but she lives near Bondi in a place called South Coogee, if youv'e ever heard of it. Some weird names in Australia. I think I'll stick with the RAIN, wish I could send you some. Take care.

Be safe Marg. I love hot weather but when it hits 100 F that's a little to hot to enjoy. I'll do a little rain dance for you and maybe you'll get some relief.

Marge I know going into that metal shop is like walking into an oven Be safe.
-
Stay safe Marg, hopefully you'll get some of the wet stuff soon to dampen things down.

I wish I could send you some of this North Dakota Winter. It sure would cool you down.

Guys this sounds like the constant argument in my house. Women complain it?s too hot in the summer and it's too cold in the winter.............it is a constant 72 degrees all year.
It is all global warming: all the bitter cold is due to the global warming.
The excessive heat is due to global warming.
The millions of years the earth has been around they are concerned about a change of less than 1 10th of a percent in 150+ years of collecting data.
In the 1970 they said we were cooling.
Wish they would makeup my mind for me ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

King I NEVER complain about the cold, because it is easier to get warm than it is too cool down.
Thankfully the local fires are out. The temperature dropped dramatically but we did not get any rain. There is still a major bush fire raging in The Grampians, lots of houses lost and only one life, not fire related. Lots of animals are to be put down unfortunately. We have to pray for the firefighters who are all volunteers and are true heros. Thank you for all of your kind thoughts.

Here in Oklahoma we are under fire watches all over with burn bans, and its winter, everything is so dry low humidity and the added high winds are a danger, there has already been alot of wildfires one started by a train one by a suv that wrecked into a ditch, few others from smokers tossing lit cigarette butts out the window.
