I was cutting out a portrait of my granddaughter and wanted to add some words and the year. When I was getting ready to start drilling holes and noticed that pieces of the letters would fall out if I cut them like the A,e,B,0.. Any help with this prob would be greatly appreciated. I'm probably having a brain fart and over looking something.. Thanks

It's pretty simple , just add bridges as i did in your picture. the size is totally up to you but you get the idea.

there are fonts that are made for scrolling. Scroll Beach Italic is one; Stencil is another. These have built-in bridges.
But as Sully said, you can use ay font then erase little pieces to make bridges to the floaters.

Yes you need a different font as suggested. :)

Thanks for the help. I found the fonts and downloaded them they look like they will work great. Also When she get's older I hope she likes it.

You could also download Steve's Stencil Printer, It allows you to adjust the kerring so the letters touch as well as the height. I have used it with several other fonts with success. Another thing I have done (sorry don't have a pic) is cut out the individual letters and glue them on.
