Title: At last something to show you.
Post by: wombatie on December 18, 2013, 12:35:55 am
I have not posted for a while, but I have been working and taking photos but this is the first time I could sit down and post.

I would like to thank Barry from Scroll Saw Village for giving me the opportunity to cut this pattern of 10 of the Dr Who faces.  It was certainly a heart stopping job but I love the way it turned out.  It measures 16.5" x 12".  There were approx. 402 cuts and it took about 18 hours just to cut it, that does not take into account drilling holes or sanding or framing.  There was not a spiral blade in sight, just normal blades.  Did I like cutting it YES.  Did I think half way through 'what the devil did I want to cut this for, YES.  Would I cut another NO.

Hope you like it.  Sorry its not a very good photo.

Marg

That looks great Marg.
Like me, I'm guessing you're not a lover of spirals?

I don't who or what " Dr.Who" is but cutting that would have made me crazier than I already am  ;D
Great Job!

I'll bet there were a few choice phrases when you cut that Marg. Never the less it's a lovely piece of work and I'm sure Terry will love it.

400 cuts doesn't really scare me....doing it without SPIRALS  sure does!

Great Job!

Doing that type of work without scrolls would pester the heck out of me.  Very nice work and thanks for letting us see your work.

Lovely job, Marg. I bet that would sell for a small fortune at a Dr Who convention. :) I also bet it still wouldn't be enough for your time and frustration of cutting it. ;D

Martin.

Wow!  I have never watched the show (hope that dosn't get me expelled from here) but I can see the amount of care and work involved.  Super job.
