Title: Delta 40-695 lifter arm lock
Post by: joevm on December 16, 2013, 02:37:03 pm
I know the 695 has a lifter button towards the rear of the machine, but here's my problem.  My wife does not have full use of her right arm so lifting and locking the arm presents a bit of a challenge. I am trying to find a way for her to be able to lift and lock from the front.  I thought that the "Lifter" would do it but I spoke with Frank Carey (The Lifter) and he doesn't think it would work with the 695. Other than just using a piece of would to hold the arm up does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I have the Delta 40-690 which is similar to the 40-695 and use the Easy Lift http://www.jimdandy.com/products.html (http://www.jimdandy.com/products.html)  I suspect it will work on the 40-695.

Bigfoot products http://www.bigfootproducts.ca/Lift-N-Lock.html (http://www.bigfootproducts.ca/Lift-N-Lock.html) also has an arm support that may fit your wife's needs.

Let us know if you find something that suits.

I use a long bungee cord attached to the ceiling.

goes up by itself when I release the blade.
