I am having a issue with a vibration when I make turning cuts on my saw. The alignment left n right is ok but the forward and back position is out of whack. When the blade is at the bottom of the stroke it is square. At the top of the stroke it is about a 1/8th forward.
When I am cutting thin material this is not a big issue. But I have been working on some plagues of 1/2 to 5/8 thick material I am getting a hammer sound and vibration from the back of my saw. I am having a hard time controlling the cut. Speed and blade size does not change the issue #1, #3, #5.....dead slow to topped out speed makes no difference.

king, some front to back movement of the blade is normal with this type of saw. You may be able to reduce the movement by using the suggestions on Rick's site http://www.scrollsaws.com/ (http://www.scrollsaws.com/). Scroll down to the "Dewalt tuneup" link on the left. Your 695 is essentially the same as the Dewalt DW788 so the suggestions should work.
If you want to get further into your saw, the link here http://stevedgood.com/community/index.php?topic=13953.msg131708#msg131708 (http://stevedgood.com/community/index.php?topic=13953.msg131708#msg131708) covers opening it up.
Good luck,
Jim

Called Delta they said take it to the local. Which I did. The saw will be covered under warrrrrrrenty ::)
They are very busy place working on other items. It is in good hands. They are pleased since Delta went out on their own last year and parts come on time.
