When you shake it, the bird bounces on the limb . . . Yep, to fragile to wear.

Al
I put it in a pill bottle. It's almost all copper with a slight covering of silver.

Amazing job, looks great, thanks for sharing.
One question, how short your Coins?
-
Yikes! talk about holding your breath.................great cutting.

One question, how short your Coins?
Frank, I'm not sure I understand the question. If it is how little/big are the coins, in this case, it would be 30.6 mm diameter and 2 mm thick.

WOW now that is fragile, I bet you were holding your breath on that one.

I bet certain muscles were tightened while cutting that. ;D Was your last cut the twig to the left to make the gap?
Martin.

Hotshot: thanks for your answer.
my question was badly done, indeed how to hold the coins to cut.

very Nice ...Pete

I left the tail and that back section intact to hold the bird, intact while cutting the fragile pieces. Then cut away the support.
As for Franks' question on how the coin is held, in this case I held it by hand, no jig. On smaller coins I super glue to attached it to a thin piece of wood so it can be manipulated easier. I have a card taped over the hole to make a zero clearance setup to support the fragile pieces.

I can only dream of the day I'm capable of something like this.

Absolutely fantastic, great job. A little too fragile for me to try. :)
