Title: How should I adjust the blade on my EX21 CE
Post by: Toninho on November 12, 2013, 05:48:56 pm
Hello friends!
A few days ago I noticed that the blade of my new EX21 model ce began to jump higher than normal.
Someone can tell me how can I set the blade?!
Thank you! :)

Please explain what you mean "jump"? If I understood your question, maybe I could help. Is your top arm level with the bottom from rear to front? Are you using the top arm lift stop and if so maybe you have it too tight?

I don't know about jumping, but on my EX-21 I can hear a change in sound when the blade slips a little in the clamps. It produces a bit of a thump. WHen I stop and flip the tension lever, the blade will bend a bit (because it is loose). Open one clamp, straighten the blade, then close the clamp again and throw the tension lever and you are ready to go again.

Does that sound like what you're seeing?

On some blades like the FD blades when you put on the tension on a new blade it will stretches. All you have to install a new blade and run it for a few sec release the tension and lose the top thumbscrew and retight it and flip the whitelever back and you are set to go... have fun....

here is a video on youtube you can watch.

Sorry for replying only now my friends!
I want to thank your answers that helped me, the problem was the blade had little tension. I pressed a little more and stopped shaking!
Thank you and good weekend!
