I made 9 for my niece's wedding.

thanks for the kind replies! DW- select white pine 3/4" I stained them to look older. Chelcass- gifted to family on both sides, my pattern- the two R's in the center of heart are for the first name initials of the bride-Rachael and groom-Rick, the mirror image is symbolic that each of them has each others back. Dan26- I had several people who wanted to buy them, took a lot of time but it was a labor of love!
included a pic with the electronic candle, took me awhile to fiqure out how to post pics. Lanterns are about 14 inches tall.

Lou this has been a very interesting Post. I just LOVE the Lanterns and your story is Great. I think you did a Wonderful job of cutting and constructing them. Yes the time you spent will be a Memory for all on that Special Evening. Danny :+}
