Title: 10/8/2013 Quote
Post by: jerry1939 on September 08, 2013, 09:51:56 pm
I'm not sure who said this or who made it up.

"I don't like Country Music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do".
"And for the people who like Country Music, denigrate means "Put Down".

Well Gabby you hit the nail on the head.  Sometimes LOUD Country and making saw dust....
And Sometimes I even will indulge in a Cold Beer.  And YES it does seem like there are more
and more songs that are about Beer Drinking.  And while I'm on the Country Music thing I
am Getting TIRED of Country slowly turning into Hard Rock.  I just switch stations when one
of them come on.  Nuff....  Just my 2 cents....  Any comments are Welcome....  Danny  :+}

well i'm not a big country fan,being from Newfoundland i love good ol newfie music along with some hard rock and metal mixed in there.but i did watch on TV one time that country music Actually causes the greatest suicide rates come from listening to country music. Country music focuses on themes most closely related to suicide, such as marriage problems, alcohol abuse, or job/money related issues. They inspire inward hate , whereas rap or hip-hop (falsely believed as the highest suicide rate music genre) express an outward hate that would reflect violent crime onto others as opposed to suicide.

(not me personally just saying) i did dopy and paste some of this of google

Well I have to say "Country Music" ain't what it used to be, and it is progressing more toward the contemporary popular music in order to stay alive!

All the Sons of the Pioneers, and Eddie Arnolds and Tennessee Ernie Fords and the like are dead and gone and there aren't any real replacements for them. Marty Robbins I think is the last of the real "Country Western" singers.
I'm glad my clock is running down, everything I hold dear is disappearing, and I no longer fit in this reality!
But in the mean time I'll keep listening to the "Country" music it's still head and shoulders above the hate filled junk the kids are listening to. Getting old SUCKS!
Off my soapbox,
Gabby
