Results are in....
Good News, no surgery on left knee for the time being...seems I aggravated a rather large deposit of Arthritis in the knee & Dr. wants to try letting it settle down by me taking Celebrex regularly for a couple months.
Bad News, Carpal Tunnel in left wrist was confirmed so surgery scheduled for Sept. 9th. I will be out of action for aprox. 6 weeks and limited action for another 2 - 4 weeks. Seems there is also some damage to the Ulanar nerve & the surgery should eliminate some or all of that also, but not guaranteed.
As I found out recently life is too damn short & unpredictable to worry about things so I will just go with whatever HE throws at me and roll with it!
"And life goes on, and this ol' world just keeps on turning"

Will keep you on our Prayer List.

Good luck with the surgery GB, It might seem daunting now to be out of action with the scrollsaw for so long, but you have the nice thoughts of getting back to scrolling without any pain in the wrist/thumb area.
my thoughts and prayers will be with you for a fast and full recovery.
Keith.

Good luck, I had the carpal tunnel surgery to my left wrist a couple of months ago and to my right wrist 2 1/2 years ago.

Hope the surgery goes well GB. You'll be in the thoughts and prayers. Maybe a wee JW BLACK will help. ;) ;)

hope all goes will GB.take care.

Ah GB you have certainly hit a rough patch. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Seems we are all slowly falling apart. I suffer from arthritis too, particularly in my back and legs some days I can hardly get around. My Dr put me on Tramaset. I find it better than Celebrex.

Do you drink with your left or right hand?

Good news about the knee. Sorry about the hand/wrist. When you have had the surgery why not pop on over to the UK and visit Iggy. You can share surgery stories. :D ;) Take out a lottery ticket when you have had the surgery, you deserve some good luck for a change. :-*

Ray, if GB is anything like that "Rob Roy" he'll even drink with a straw if necessary!!!!
Take care GB, good luck with the op.

Hi Ray take no heed of what Keefie says. I don't drink J W with a straw, I'm hooked up to a DRIP. Saves a lot of hassle. ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::).

I also hope everything works out well for you. Take your time healing! In the long run, it will be better than if you hurry and don't allow everything to heal properly.

Sorry to hear of your problems G B. It seems to me that the scientists have learned to keep us alive longer, but now have a new problem, keeping us healthy. I have done a deal with the local crematorium for a 10% discount as there are bits of me disappearing into hospital bins and the addition of valuable scrap metal. In the end they will have to pay me. Perhaps it is time to start a new section to the workshop called Gods Waiting Room, where us oldies can try to outdo each other. Anyway G B. I wish you well and hope you get all that you want from your impending treatment.
-
Ian, you just made me think that "we" will be worth more dead than alive. Consider all the parts that will be added over the years, then consider the value of the scrap metal plus the added value of the recyclable parts. Wow I will be worth a fortune! Cha Ching! ;D

I don't have any scrap metal its all scrap plastic. So I guess that means I'm not worth much. ::) ::) :) :)
