Would you like something like this (with words changed to match your friend, or just using the hand+wrench)?

If you Googls "Truck MechanicSymbol" you'll see a few like this.

Thanks Frank, but this is just a link to a picture I found on-line. With a few bridges it could be a nice pattern (but not a memorial - more appropriate text is needed :o)

yes it is a nice one, maybe just the words mechanic with the nuts on either side of the wording and then i was looking at a also.a double bucket truck for our industry (electric utility )  and am looking for a good picture of a bucket truck   anything you can do would be greatly appreciated   i am a lineman and have plenty of patterns for our trade but none as in the way of mechanic the fist with the wrench in the oval with the wording mechanic with the nuts on either side of the wording would work for part of the picture    thanks

I'm a retired utility guy myself. I have a lunch to go to but will look for a good bucket truck to add to the fist+wrench when I get back.

Would it be better to say "Mechanic" rather than "Mechanics"?

Are you looking for a distribution or a transmission bucket? Do you have a drawing or photo of a truck that you'd like to see on the plaque? How about text - name, company, location, date, etc.
