That's a nice piece crusty. I am making the same piece and putting it on a base. Still have to put the dates on the heart.

Wonderful job, really nice. Thanks for sharing :)

@crusty, the heart is 1/4" part of an old dresser (don't know what the wood is) stained Sedona red. The base is 1/2" clear pine painted satin Aubergine with black spray webbing to make it look marbleish. The names are 3/8" pine with Danish oil.

hi crusty 59,made a few of these now, however i do have trouble with rings keep snapping them,i have glued a few of the rings instead of cutting the joint,i am not happy wiyh doing that as i feel i am cheating, any tips on cutting joints,i have only been scrolling for a year since i retired but i love it,hope you can give me some advice, many thanks lion123

That is a great looking piece.

Here's my touch on this pattern.

I like the date at the bottom, great idea. Lion, as far as snaping the rings. Try and cut the extended part that goes inside the ring holder a little shorter. That way when you spread the ring it won't snap. just a dab of glue and it won't move
-
thanks crusty,i will give it a go.

hi woodyd, excellent,i like the different shape letters, did you have them with pattern.
