Many, many thanks to Ray (EIEIO) for the excellent pattern. This is on my usual rubbish ply and there's lots wrong that's not immediately noticeable in the photo. I nearly scrapped it half way through but decided to finish it tonight as it looks OK from about 6ft away. :) I finally have some birch ply on the way so I will be cutting it again sometime soon. Overall size is about 10"x8".

Looks good Martin. Thanks for sharing this with us. Glad you did not scrap it.

Martin - it looks great - like a cartoon of the photograph. It looks like a fun ride.
If you can cut that pattern on junk wood, you should fly through this stuff with the good stuff. Thanks for posting it.

Great work! Always nice patterns to cut from.

great cutting and great pattern as well.

great work, the only thing I can see that I would change is the 4 lines you have cut at the rear of the cab section. I would have drilled all the holes for those cuts at the top then tapered the cut from the drill hole. That way you won't have the drill holes showing in the centre of those cuts. But still a very nice piece of work.

Keith, my intention was to open out those cuts with a wider blade but it got forgotten about. I noticed there's also a drilled hole where I never cut anything. Too late now as I glued a backing on last night.

Keith - good suggestion.
Martin - those super thin vertical lines are more the fault of my pattern than anything you did. Feel free to open them up to the thickness of the vertical line just to the left of them if you cut it again. I didn't see the hole-with-no-line that you mentioned, so no harm.

I probably subconsciously pushed those 4 lines out of my mind. Cutting lines that needed two cuts, especially ones close together, was a nightmare as it weakened the outer ply and it started splintering. I had sellotape and glue and bits of wood holding it all together. :) The cut I missed is in the centre of the windscreen, a small vertical line. With the picture enlarged, you can see the drill hole as a grey dot.
Thanks for all the comments.
