Well along with the high Temps some into the low hundreds we now have a bunch of wildfires in the area, today the smoke in the valley was so thick visibility was down to 1/4 to 1/2 mile. The slurry and water bombers can't do anything because they can't see where to fly let alone water bomb, it's dry as tinder and the streams are at the lowest flows I've seen in the 15 years we've been in Oregon. To say fire danger is Extreme is conservative. Everyone is experiencing respritory and eye irritation.
Still beats the he77 out of shoveling snow!
OK that being said and done with it's 5: oclock somewhere.
I'm getting myself a drink!
Goodnight Y'all, yep it's 12:52 AM Tuesday Pacific time, but it's probably 5 somewhere. ;D ;D ;D

I always thought you were kinda "half baked"", maybe they're just finishing the job.
Take care of yourself Gabby! You don't need to stress yourself.

Take care Gabby, watch your chest and lungs with all that smoke.

Take all of the precautions that you need to take Gabby after we only have one gabby and we don't want to lose him.

Stress relief is either Pabst Blue Ribbon or Johnny Walker Red Label, after a couple of either one I could care less. We're fortunate so far the nearest fire is about 12 or so miles North and West of us, it is actually getting into the old Biscuit burn, which may get pretty hot since there is so much low regrowth and the old dead stuff to burn.
The best part it isn't too close to populated areas. Though there may be a summer / hunting cabin here and there.
The smoke is variable and today the helicopters with dip buckets are busy I hear one over head as I type this and they pass here often as I'm only about 2 miles from the airport. The smoke has been making me cough and my eyes water and sting, but so far today it isn't so bad.
Grants pass has had it much worse than we have. My neighbor and his wife had business in GP 3 days ago and reported visibility less than a car length and the front page of the newspaper showed a photo that proved it out.
I still would rather experience this than tornadoes or hurricanes or earth quakes, because at least we have a little warning most of the time and can get out of the way, but those other disasters make it very hard to get away. Wow I typed all of that without a mistake I can't believe it!
OK so it's 4 o'clock here I'm not waiting. LOL
Bye y'all
Drunk Gabby or is that Drink Gabby
OH who cares? :o
