Title: Our town is in mourning.

I live in a small town called Hastings and on Friday night the local jewelers was robbed the wife was injured and the husband stabbed and killed while defending his wife.  They have owned the Jewel Shed for over 30 years and I don't think there is one woman in Hastings that as not been in the shop at least once.  He was the nicest man you would ever wish to meet and his wife is lovely also.  Now I know this goes on all over the world but it has never happened in our town before, we are all devastated.  Please put his family in your prayers because they need them right now.  Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Our best wishes to the family and sincere condolences for the passing of the father.

May success be granted to the law enforcement segment in bringing the guilty to justice.

It is horrible that we have to believe the unbelievable.  Prayers to the family and the whole town.  Please keep us posted if the creatures that did this are ever brought to the justice they so deserve.

It is so devastating to a community when an incident like this happens. I pray that God will give strength to the family as well as the town in this challenging time.

They have caught him.  He is 26 and he was already out on bail, not sure what for but I do know that he will not get bail this time. He was taken to Melbourne in case someone tried to get to him.  Went down to the main street today to put some flowers and there are hundreds of flower tokens there it is unbelievable, and the town is so very quiet.
