Scroll saw, that is. :P
I had to tonite because my template was so long. It was kind of a nice change of pace.

Hi, Janet!
I like to 'mix it up' a bit! Keeps it exciting! :)

Hey Janet, I usually sit on a stool and occasionally stand if the work piece it to big.
-
You really like to start things don't you?
On a serious side, standing doesn't work with my bad back and sitting, I have to have my feet up due to bad knees therefore no foot pedal.
Whoever called these the golden years was color blind, it's pure rust.

OMG **** No comment on this post, ****
:o Ya know I could really get into trouble on this one :o

Maybe we should design a scroll saw stand so we can lie down and scroll. ha!

Well my wife told me to just stay in the shop one night, I guess I could have laid down an scrolled LOL.
-
My grandfather used to say, "Why stand when you can sit? Why sit when you can lay?"
Someone needs to start working on this plan. Maybe use one of those tables with the face hole like those massage tables.

I've heard of doctors walking on a treadmill while doing there paperwork. I've considered trying this while scrolling..the results couldn't be any worse than how my cuttings look after a beer or few,LOL..Jon

Oooooooh Janet....sigh....oooooooooh Janet lol. I'm speechless

WOW!
What a leading question!
YES, I often do it standing up especially since i got the new saw.
First time I tried sitting on my old stool I felt like my chin whiskers were going to get caught in the blade!
Have since acquired a "YardSale" stool and now I have to cut about 3" off its legs 'cause it is too tall and I feel like I am going to fall onto the saw table when leaning in.
-
Just saw on the news that there is a treadmill with a desktop at the front for "executives" who want to get more exercise. Walk while they work. Probably could put a scroll saw there instead.
-
Kepy: I would rather be "Rust" then "Dust".
I've had three back operations, I keep standing to a minmum. But sometimes ya have'ta !

Kepy...
If the knees can be replaced it IS worth it!
I rubbed bone on bone for over 35 years and finally succumbed to the Titanium wonder!
If the other one so much as twinges i will have it done in a heartbeat!
It ain't perfect and it gets cold in the winter but the PAIN is GONE!!!

Do it standing up, is there any other way?

I have done it this way and that way and any other way I can think of. OH!!! Were we talking about scrolling? Well I usually sit down, but have also considered taking the saw on the road when I am able to go out with Jaun. The new baby Hawk is looking better everyday. Only 35 pounds to boot.

Juan will be writing a new 'country song' about the trucker with "Sawdust in the Sleeper"!!!!

;) My legs are very low, I can do over 300 meters running at a time without rest and can do no more than 1,000 meters in total in a walk.
However I am still working and standing as I do not work, I wait. Bizare not? ... I can stand like that for hours at a stretch, even four hours if needed! ...
I see quite a lot of work sitting down, because for some very small piece, it is good to rotate with the room, rather than running the room on the desk because it is easier to hold with fingers. ;)

I was standing up to do it but then I had one of these for Fathers day so now I'm sitting down to do it.
