Title: Another Replacement for my next show
Post by: ToverT on May 18, 2013, 03:13:39 pm
I sold my last levi jeans knife at my last show so I had to make another one.  I usually sell these everytime I put one out.  I used a #5 UR blade to profile the handle.  The scroll saw really shortens the build time on these.  Don't know how I ever made them before without the scroll saw!

Thanks for Lookin'

Very pretty knife Tommy.  Perhaps you should make more than one at a time if you keep selling them out.  Thanks for sharing this beauty with us.

That's a beauty. I like the extended brass finger guard on those knives - it gives the knife a secure feel.

The levi work is excellent again.

Tommy - this looks like the box that the knife kit came in. Removing the padding under the handle makes space for the scale to fit nicely.

Do you sell these knives in that box? If so, do you re-cover the lid to hide the original source?
Do you offer a sheath separately or is that part of the pricing? Or no sheath at all?

EIEIO.  Yes, this is the box it came in.  It's the first time I've had them delivered this way.  I probably won't sell it in the box.  I put a price on each knife I sell.  That price includes the standard sheath (the brown ones with the rivits.)  If the customer wants to upgrade the sheath to a more detailed one the price increases by $15.00.  I would say it's an even split between the standard included sheath and an upgraded sheath.  I let them decide which one they want.  I've only had a few instances where they didn't want the sheath at all, the price remained the same.  They bought the sheath with the knife, if they want to give it back to me, that's fine.  :)

I love your Levi knives Tommy I can understand why they sell so easily.
