My dad's birthday was May 5th. He lives in Texas while I am still here in Arizona. I decided to make a gift for him. Recently he put in a huge flower bed in his yard. So I decided to make him this duck for it. My wife comes home from work to find me painting it in our kitchen on the floor. She asks why I am painting in the kitchen. My response, "It is 101 outside in my shop." I dont mind going out to cut wood but wanted the cool ac when painting it. Once done I had to try it out by putting it in our yard. Looks good, now my wife wants one for the yard. Oh..did I say one? She wants one along with the baby chicks. She must have been reading my scroll saw magazine to know there were baby chicks to go with it. Well guess I will be busy working in the shop. =)

I love it. I use to make alot of lawn decorations back when I live in NJ. Made decent money doing it as well.

Love the duck! Afraid if I put one in my yard, a drake would come from our pond start a fight!
