Hi , Did this image of Johnny cash for a friend , I took the image from the net, and i know its not for everyone as the image is in several pieces , but it is how she wanted it !
It was cut from 6mm ply (1/4") and then glued to a painted backer of the same and then i routered the edge , hope you like it !...Pete

Excellent work, the faces that make them perfect.
will be a magnificent gift, thanks for sharing.

That looks great. I had not seen a portrait like that before, where you re-assemble a set of islands to make an image. Is the re-assembly done by eye or is there a guideline on the backer, or what?

EIEIO, i simply kept the pieces that the "islands" were cut from and used that to help me put everything back where it should be .. Hope that helps .
Thanks for all the nice comments ...Pete
