today is the big day.
Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of Orange will "retire" at age 75.
therefor her Son and his wife, The Prince Willem of Orange and Princess M?xima (http://www.koninklijkhuis.nl/globale-paginas/taalrubrieken/english/news/) will get in her place.
so today our country has a new king. !!!
the last King Willem III died in 1890.
This means we will have a King after 123 years of Queens.

Hi marg, didn't know so I googled a bit for you.
the church is called "new church" and build around 1650 but the "old" foundations did go back to early 1400.
