Title: movie recommendation
Post by: wombatie on April 27, 2013, 06:18:52 am
If you would like to see an Australian movie with lots of Australia in it may I recommend Charlie and Boots with Paul Hogan.  They are on a very long road trip so you get to see and awful lot of the country.  I hope you can get it from somewhere.

Just finished watching it Marg, you have some great scenery down there - almost as nice as Cornwall lol. Isn't Paul Hogan looking old now.

Keith Paul Hogan is not very well liked by many Australians now a days.  Especially after his tax evasion problems which he got away with and then the day his mother turned 100 he rang the nursing home she was in and said happy birthday I have to come over next week for a movie so I will see you then.  Now if that was my mother I would be camped on the door step waiting for her to wake up.

Terry and I saw the Biggest Koala 3 years ago on our way to Adelaide.

Nice suggestion. I will look for it. Love seeing movies. My wife and I just finished watching the animated classic, "Up." It is such a fantastic movie. We also went to the theater today and saw 42, the Jackie Robinson movie. Very good movie to see.
