Hi guys, I've been a bit busy recently but a couple of weeks ago I got myself a Hegner. I've been busy breaking blades since then, but hopefully I am sorted now. This is my first attempt with the Hegner.
This was found on the internet and posted on UKworkshop with the permission of the artist. It's part of a Photoshop brush which I blew up to make a pattern.

I had big problems breaking blades for the top half and consequently it took 4 days. The lower half took me a couple of hours, with the blade, unintentionally, upside down! ;D

Beautiful rendering! Can you share the pattern?
-
very nice cutting, despite the hassles!
Maybe a link to the pattern for us 'cat' people?

Sorry guys, it never entered my head. A pattern as an image doesn't exist as I installed the brush, made the slight alteration to the cat's right eye, and printed it from within Gimp. Printing direct from whichever program it is installed in means a good printout at whatever size you decide on.
You could download the brush and do the same with any of the many programs that will accept PS brushes, but if you're not familiar with doing that, I'll make a jpg pattern as soon as I get chance.

I started wondering if I actually had made a pattern so I went to check and there was the pattern, large as life, telling me off for telling porkies. :) (for the uninitiated, porkies = pork pies = lies)
If anyone would rather have a line drawing rather than filled in, let me know.

Line drawing would save lots of ink. This is a wonderful pattern and would really appreciate the line drawing. Thanks for your generosity.

nice work thanks for sharing

Line pattern.
If I were to cut it again I would remove the cut at the top of the cat's right eye. I put it in because I am very inexperienced at scroll sawing. I've also had two people say the cat eye's make it look angry, but it doesn't look angry to me so I don't know what to do about that.

Great job, nick work. Thanks for sharing. :)

Thanks for all the comments. Today I emailed the young lady who originally designed the kitten Photoshop brush and let her know how popular it is. I told her she ought to get it on coffee mugs or something along those lines and make some money from it. :)
