good job, to fix it yourself,
hope that it will last for long!

Hope you got it up and running! :) Sounds like you knew what to do, which helps a lot.

Hope you got some good grade bolts will wear longer and stronger. It sucks when a tool breaks and your in the middle of a project.

will what can i say EX-21 down again. i was cutting some 3/4"ply fretwork shelf brackets and another bolt in the drive link assembly broke. as anyone else ever had this problem!time to take her apart again i guess and then take out the old 16" craftsman for awhile. >:( :(

While you have it open you might look for a root cause for the failures. One failure could be a bad bolt, but two seems like there might be a common cause. Maybe there's a bent part, a bad bearing, an interface, or something else that is breaking those links.

My EX21 broke about two months after the purchase. It turned out to be bolt in the upper arm that had been tightened too far. Ray @ Seyco said there was a batch of these that had gotten by QC at the manufacturer. Ray simply replaced my machine instead of repairing it. This was in March of 2012, so, if you purchased it during that period, this could be your problem.
