Went to the doctor Thursday and we talked about my pending surgery. I felt taking 12+ pain pills a day was enough. On the 8th I will start my workup test prior to the date with the knife. I will have a CT scan and a Myelogram AKA spinal tap.
This will make my 4th back surgery. He needs to look to see if the disks above and below support the fusion. The vertebra above and below are starting to crush upon themselves and he may need to extend beyond those vertebra. I knew this was coming but they may let me consult during the surgery. ;D
The last myelogram was almost funny if it hadn't hurt so much.
I had 2 great looking young nurses ;). The doctor inserting the needle was oriental and the doctor running the electronic parts was from India. Do you think there was a small language barrier? ;D
She kept telling me I'm puhin da neddo in now.......I godda ghe an bihher neddo...... next thing I knew was my right leg started flying all over the place banging the sides of the equipment .......as she tells me I fink I when to fah ..........YAH THINK! >:(
I will have about a 3-4 month recovery time. I will let you know when and will take my computer with me to the hospital during my stay which will be a few days. I got my bedroom at home all ready with a new paint job, new carpet and new TV mounted on the wall.
No sorry to here or get well just some good jokes will do.

Well king, I always knew there was something wrong with you, now I know what! I'm sure all will be fine!
-
Good luck with your surgery, if you get the doctors and nurses with the language barrier then give me a call, I'm pretty fair on a scroll saw and not bad with a drill and not too bad with welders too, I might not be a surgeon, but I'll give it a good go for you. At least you'll be able to understand what I'm saying. Like "oops" or "thats knackered it" or even "that shouldn't have happened!!"
hope all goes well for you.

I wish I had been there when your leg took on a life of its own, I would have been in the corner laughing so hard that there would have been a puddle under the chair. So if it happens again just think of me laughing and wetting myself, that should get you through some of it at least with a smile on your face.

I just need to go to a body shop that has a frame straightening and alignment equipment. My wife tells me I?m a little off. Maybe they can chisel my abs while I?m in. ;D

It will be a PITA for a while but then everything will be better.
Have had two back surgerys but that was a long time ago and the new tecnology is way better now. I want to know how come they can learn all that complicated medical stuff but can't learn proper english ;D
We are here for you.

Having had one of those myelograms I can relate and also sympathize!
Didn't get the 'free swinging' leg but after 5 'sticks' I told them one more and somebody is gonna get punched by me!
Keep the faith and keep us posted.

Sorry you have to go through all that King! I am going in tomorrow to have my gall bladder removed. I am hoping that my gall bladder weighs at least 30 pounds. That would solve 2 problems at once.
Hope all is successful for you and resolves the issues.

hopefully all will go well and you will be cured soon.
although I doubt if the 30 pounds will be achieved.... :D
so if you're in there, just ask for some liposuction also ;)
no kidding, hope all will go well!!

Billie I can relate to a de-compression chamber ;D It is a sad day when your social calendar revolves around the doctors office and the funeral home. ::)
I always wondered why my grandmother looked forward to them. ;D
