I am working on a router lathe / coppier / duplicator. The concept is one I saw on youtube some time back, but the build is my own idea. Simple, but effective.

nice video's, looks like you have been busy building all kind of jigs and stuff.
so sorry for asking, I never made things like that and I don't have a lathe, so is making an 8 corner pole this way easier than on a table saw?
must say that it looks an easy way of doing it, I enjoyed the video.

Nice video John. I like the concept!

As for the ease of making a 8 sided handle. I can make one on this machine in about 5 minutes from a piece of firewood, or a tree branch, or a square piece of wood. However, I have not made one on a table saw, so I can't make that comparison.
Where I live, it's easier to find oak, ash, hickory, beach or walnut tree branches than it is to buy square stock.

thanks, guess it a great way of making it.
and it does the job easy as you say.
and that's what's counts.

I have been asked to do a video on how I made it. I haven't yet, but it is basically 3 parts. The outer box, the inner box and the motor mount. The inner box is supported by hooking bungie cords to the bottom and hooking the other end of the bungies high on the ends of the outer box. I hope this helps anyone who wants to make one.
