Title: need help

My Hawk just started doing this

When I'm cutting it will speedup & slow down

jst using numbers for examples

500 rpm to 5000 rpm

when it does this my saw will viberate across the floor

Don't know much about hawk saw's but in general does it have a variable speed on it, if so maybe its dusty or dirty and needs to be cleaned, all it is a pot switch, there is a cleaner for it, might even help to just blow it out carefully. Or even the motor could be dusty and need cleaned out.

Most hawk saws have dc motors with electronic speed controls.  I would suggest calling Bushton Mfg as they now produce the line and parts.  They can probably point you the right way.
