Post by: GrayBeard on February 26, 2013, 01:01:55 am
What do the following words have in common?

1.                        Banana
2.                        Dresser
3.                        Grammar
4.                        Potato
5.                        Revive
6.                        Uneven
7.                        Assess

Answer tomorrow if no one posts the solution!

If you remove the first letter, each one is a palindrome!

Put the first letter of each word on the end and you have a palindrome.

OK...RR got it...take the first letter, move it to the end and they spell the same word backwards!

"A palindrome is a word, phrase, number, or other sequence of symbols or elements, whose meaning may be interpreted the same way in either forward or reverse direction"

So they are not really palindromes except by making the change, example - RADAR.

Banana....ananaB

So what you are saying GB is that if I look in a mirror that I would be a palindrome? I would look the same looking forward as backward. ;D ;D
