Ordered one 2/25/13 was on my porch when I got home from town on 2/27/13.
This is a lot of tool for $24.95 +shipping =$32.90
Drimmel move over, you would cost 5x that for the same thing

is this a single speed unit?
-
This is not single speed unit. The motor has a slide switch for speed and on/off switch like other rotary grinders. It came with 2 brass collets, a 1/2" round sanding drum with 4 drums, disk sanders, a bunch of pink stone grinders, some drill bits, and a flex shaft that screws onto the motor. There is also an LED light that fits the motor threads (with the flex shaft removed), and a plastic router-type base that screws on the motor thread. It's in a light-weight plastic case. The hanging post is a telescope type (extend then twist to lock it) which is kind of flimsy, but may be OK. It would be easy to replace if needed.
Looking at the business end of the flex shaft tool, the drum rotates counter-clockwise. So for a lefty (like me) the drum throws dust away from the user (a good thing). The handle is not uncomfortable - a lot better than trying to grind while holding the motor.
At $25 it's a good deal if it holds together for a while. It's less expensive than buying just the grinder tool set (w/o motor) from Dremel.

Thanks for the review. Based on specs and pics, i'd say it is the same as the Tool Shop brand rotory tool I recently bought from Menards. Mine is a fine tool and I thought it was a good price at $25 and it did not come with the stand, flexshaft, or router base.
Thinking I will be ordering this one in the near future.
