This bowl is 6 inches long and 1.375 inches deep. The woods used are Mahogany, Sugar Pine and Holly. It was finished with shellac.

Bowls are on my "to learn" list.
How thick are the walls and what angle did you cut the rings and what is the thickness of the board to start?

Don the board I started with was a little over 1/2 an inch almost 14mm. I used a 34.3 degree left side down angle for the cut and the walls started at 3/8 inch thick. I used one of those Wiley electronic angle blocks to make sure of my angles.

Tommy no the pattern is a simple one that I drew, Carole has several that are like this though. I had some scrap Mahogany and Holly so I decided to make that with it.
