That looks nicely done Dustin.  Met a guy a couple years back that had been ding Marquetry for over 55 years, he truly was awesome to watch do his craft.  Thanks for sharing this with us.

marquetry sounds great but also hard to do.

You do a very good job on your videos. Thanks for the details.

How important is the vacuum seal process to make this work? Could you instead just put some weight on it like a heavy book or concrete block?

You wrapped plastic around the package before putting it in the bag - if some of the glue squeezes out and gets on that inner plastic, does it get stuck to the package?

Thank you. Well this is just a technique that I learned and it provides a good even clamping pressure throughout. It was fairly cheap and will get it's money worth. You could probably get away with just a stack of books or something. For the glue squeezing out, the plastic I wrap it in is a polyethylene clear plastic and the glue doesn't stick to it. You might be able to use like a wax paper idk. Thanks again for the reply.
