Post by: countryscroller on January 31, 2013, 10:33:49 pm
Here is my review and use of a cheaper version of a vacuum press. It works great too! Hope you enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqKmSX3wIrE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqKmSX3wIrE)

Nice video Dustin, I wouldn't have thought of using a vacuum sealer for that - great idea.

I watched your video yesterday and appreciate the idea.  I was wondering how you kept the edges lined up so they did not shift around on you ?  Do you let the glue get tacky first?

Thanks Mike, I appreciate you watching. Well to answer your question the glue I use is called tacky glue. It is more of a gel consistency than liquidy. But yes it did sit for a minute just before I turned on the camera. Also I use that glue for most of my work because it dries clear as well so in case there is squeeze out. I hope that answers your question.
