It's one of those patterns that you know you have to do.  For one thing, I speny 2 1/2 years over there.  I feel every Vietnam Vet shouls have one of these plaques.

Great cuttings, what wood did you use.  Have a classmate who served in Vietnam, have to do this for him for next christmas.  Thanks for sharing.

Hi chelcass,
The one I used Hard Maple for the base, and Walnut for the star.  The otherone I used Cherry for the base and Red Oak for the star.  I hope this helps.  My blessings on your friend who served in Vietnam.
