Hey Larry, welcome to the forum! I'm Dan from Southern California. Come on in and join the fun!
The first tip I can give you is go and get yourself a good saw then get yourself some Flying Dutchman blades. Load a blade, teeth pointing down and facing you. Give the blade high tension, and cut a piece of wood. Then come back here and ask questions!

Hi Larry and welcome to the forum.  I'm Julie from Texas.  Glad to have you.  You don't know what you don't know until you get started, so make some sawdust and ask away.  This is not a hard hobby but does take some practice.  I've been doing it for over 10 years and still learn something new every day.

Hi Larry, Chelcass from Michigan.  Check out the Gallery for some great patterns.  You might want to look at Steve Good's videos he has a lot of great tips and does a great job of explaining tips.  Any questions just post it and one of our scrollers will answer.  Let the sawdust fly!!!!!!
