Title: Jester In The Box
Post by: saggioculo on December 25, 2012, 06:43:04 pm
This took 10 hours for me to finish. Alittle too advanced for my skill level, but nothing ventured, nothing gained...yes?  I rather like the way it came out, but I may do this pattern again once I get my hands on some hardwood instead of the pine plywood I used.

I think this is fantastic. Yes, it took some time, but then again you learned from it (I hope) and you ended up with a nice looking piece of art. If you finished it and it looks as good as this, then it isn't too advanced for you. My lesson is the things too advanced are the things I am too scared to try and make. Thanks for sharing.

I don't think it was too advanced for you, you have done a brilliant job, nice clean cuts and it looks great too, what more can you ask for. where did you find the pattern for it?

Found the pattern scouring the internet.  I really love creepy jesters so I was excited to try this one.

Obviously it was't too advanced for you because you cut it perfectly.  Can't say I like your choice in testers though. LOL

I do fancy cutting out some creepy stuff now and again.  I also find that when showing some of my work, the creepy stuff grabs the attention of the younger crowd.  Whether it's getting their attention as a buyer or maybe get them interested in trying out the hobby.  I do hope to improve my skills so I can do scenery type projects.
