I would like to put an animated gif in my signature. I have the info for the gif but not sure how to do this using bbcode. Any suggestions?
this is the info i have:
<a href="http://www.fg-a.com" target="_blank"><img class="embeddedObject" src="http://content.screencast.com/users/fg-a/folders/christmas/media/1cc7605a-fa98-46a3-a109-2414dd9c2698/MRYXMAS021Ea1b2a.gif" width="244" height="80" border="0" alt="Clipart" /></a>

this is how i got mine to work thanks to smitty0312.
needs photo bucket account. Once you find the pic you want, save it to your computer, open your photo bucket account, upload image from your computer, then copy and paste the image properties to your signature box in your profile. I'm not a computer geek, so I hope this is explained well enough.

Ok, thanks I will work on that after work tonight.

Thanks for the help. Obviously I figured it out from what you said. I would add for anyone else that the way I added the link was by clicking on the picture in photobucket and selecting share media and then clicking on the links tab. Then click on the IMG Code. After that go to your signature profile and paste the IMG Code. Pretty easy once you do it once.

You can also just copy the url address of the animated .gif, then paste it in your profile under signature with the image brackets in front and back like below.

Well, since I havent used a lot of band width by posting 5 or 6 thousand posts, I figure I can make up for it by having an animated holiday greeting. ;D

Posting links to animated .gifs does not eat up the forums bandwidth GB. It actually helps. Posting a link is actually saving space on the server it really only slows the members bandwidth as it is trying to upload the image. The only bandwidth that is being "eat up" is from members poor access to the internet. That is the reason when members upload a link to a picture it doesn't get deleted after thirty days like an actual upload to the forums server. ;)

Ok, I am done crying in the corner. My wife told me I had to just get over it and she says I need to play nice or she will take my saw away. I think she means it this time, so I will be good. ;)
