Title: Self Framing Plaque
Post by: Reaper on December 17, 2012, 11:37:58 pm
Hey guys, quick question. I just completed my first self framing plaque. My question is if I apply mineral oil to the main body will it swell up and not fit into the frame?I would hate for that to happen.I am going to stain the frame. After I apply the mineral oil and let it dry, that is when I glue the main body to the frame, correct?I used oak for the project. Thanks for the help.....Dave

Never tried that way before...But I sea no problem with it, it's oil not water after all.

If you are gluing the pieces together I would oil after as the glue may not stick
