A while back a post described an adjustalbe rear table bracket to cure the front/back blade movement on the DW788. It has 1/4'' slotted holes on either side so the table can be adjusted up and down. Well, I made one from walnut and I'm delighted to report it worked perfectly! This is the only fourum I read but I can't find the original post to refer you to.

Moonie, I made one for my Delta 40-690 (788 clone) like this - easy to do. It permits adjusting the tilt of the table.
I found it helped but didn't completely remove the forwards and backwards motion of hte blade - your mileage may vary. :)
Hope this helps.

I put two pieces of card stock cardboard under the homemade gizmo and got lucky. It made a world of difference. I figured it was going to trial and error as how much material to add. Some time ago there was a post on this forum, for the gizmo cut from walnut. That's what I used, but can't find it. I just wasn't comfortable cutting slots.
