Title: DeWalt Question

The bottom blade holder I have just noticed moved quite a bit from left to right, now it may have always done this but I have only just noticed, is this normal.

It is normal for the blade holder to move without any tension on the blade. With tension set there should be no movement.

Yup, very normal Marge.  As Dan said, apply full tension to the blade and you should not see any movement on the top or bottom chuck.
