Hello All,
My name is Dean and I am currently living in Southern Illinois.
I guess I would consider myself as new to scrolling, although I have had my scroll saw for approximately 20 years. It is a Craftsman 23618 (Antique) bought new for me by my parents after I had completed some gifts for them made with a coping saw. For whatever reason, I got away from scrolling, but my current situation provides me with a lot of "alone" time so I dug out my saw, knocked the dust off and decided to start making saw dust again. I have been modifying my saw to make it a little easier to use until I am able to upgrade. Bought thumb screws for the blade changes, increased the size of the thumb screw for the blade tension, and of course, after all this time the blower rotted out so I installed an aquarium air pump.
I have read through most of the forum and have already picked up a lot of good tips. I am glad I found this forum and Steve's website.
Happy scrolling
Dean
