Title: Thanks Dan (dgman)

I used your formula 50-50 BLO/mineral spirits today.  I am hoping to speed up my process for finishing projects.  Do you think 24 hrs is enough time to wait before top coat?  I have been using Danish Oil and that takes days.

Hey Barry, It depends on the humidity. If it's high humidity, I would give it two days. Otherwise 24 hours is fine.
Make sure you don't leave oily rags or paper towels in a pile as they can spontaneously combust. I hang them over the edge of a garbage can for 24 hours to dry, then you can toss them in the trash. That goes for any oil type finish.
I usually use a semi gloss spray lacquer, but you can use anything you like for a topcoat.
Good luck!
