Title: thin wood?

I want to make some Christmas presents and the pattern calls for 1/2" stock and I need it 7" wide. My question is if I use Aromatic Cedar will 1/2 x 7 board be to thin and cup on me?

The pattern is Steve's pattern for the Bass key caddy

Hey George, I think you will be ok with 1/2" Aromatic Ceder. 1/2" should be fairly stable.

Post some pics of your finished work.   That key rack in on my to do list as well.
