That definitely rocks, but I'm still moved the most by Whitney's version (tears every time):

Thank you Marcel there are still a few of us who know how the anthem came to be and what the Stars and Stripes represent. Absent a few in Washington who don't but should!
God Bless America.

I couldn't agree more Marcellarius.

I am generally not a fan of artists putting their spin on the National Anthem, however, that rendition was totally awesome!!! I've watched it a couple of times now and still think it's great.

I have the original CD that a singer gave me years ago, and realy loved it. Edward

over here in our country most people don't have that proud feeling about our flag and anthem as much as you Americans have.
we lost a lot of that patriotism and I feel pity on that. :(
have to say that the lyrics and music of our anthem are a bit old, about 1572, and you probably not easily to make it into popular rhythm like this guy did.
as you can read, the text is somewhat outdated, but I still find it a great anthem!
listen to it on you tube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8rGO4K_dd8&feature=related)
these are only the first and six part/verse, in total there are 26
most of the time we only sing the first part and in church on our national queens day we also sing the 6th
